Concern that home care hours will be cut during Covid-19

It’s being claimed that there is major concern for those receiving home care in the north west that if their hours are cut during the Covid-19 pandemic they may not be in a position to have the service fully restored.

The concerns have come to light after it was confirmed that the HSE is redeploying 750 homecare workers to nursing homes and other facilities, to deal with the outbreak of Covid-19.

Leitrim Sinn Fein Councillor Padraig Fallon says there are many worried that homecare support will be cut as a result of staff being deployed.
