A Sligo Councillor has welcomed the decision taken by An Post to supply all post offices with hand hygiene sanitisers.
Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy contacted An Post after it was revealed that postmasters and members of the public had a lack of hand sanitisers both in post offices and while delivering post.
Cllr Healy says that An Post have confirmed that they will be rolling out hand sanitisers to all rural post offices in the region as local offices where sourcing and paying for their own supplies up until now.
He says it’s crucial that there is acceptal hand hygiene in each of the offices as its vital to protect those who use the facility.
