The Chief fire officer in Donegal has warned of the dangers of gorse fires at present in the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Joseph McTaggart has issued the warning ahead of the time of year when these fires are traditionally an issue.
Speaking to earlier to Ocean FM News the Donegal fire official says deploying resources to fighting such fires during the Coronavirus emergency could result in the shortage of personnel to deal with other emergency’s and as a result lives could be lost.
