61 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in north west



There was an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the north west yesterday.  The Department of Health confirmed that the numbers in Donegal have increased to 36, the latest number of cases in Sligo has risen to 19 while there are now 6 reported cases in Leitrim.

 

 

Nationally eight more people have died from the virus, bringing the death toll to 54, while 295 new cases were diagnosed yesterday.

 

 

The National Public Health Emergency Team will meet this morning to discuss if further travel measures and supports for nursing homes are needed.
