MacSharry calls on insurance companies to treat tourism providers fairly

The Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Transport, Tourism and Sport, Sligo/ Leitrim TD Marc Mac Sharry, has reiterated calls for Ireland’s insurance providers to be fair in their treatment of business customers who hold general infectious disease cover and who have been forced to close by the ongoing Covid-19 emergency.

Deputy Mac Sharry said, “The ongoing emergency presents a significant threat to Irish hospitality and tourism providers.

The Sligo TD says business owners across the northwest acted in good faith to protect their employees and the general public, and it is galling to see many of them be refused cover for this incident.
