General Manager of Sligo University Hospital says they are prepared for COVID 19 patients



The General Manager of Sligo University Hospital says she is confident that the critical care staff in the Hospital are confident using a ventilator.

Grainne McCann was speaking this morning as Sligo University Hospital prepares themselves for a surge of COVID-19 patients in the near future.

She insists that all staff, from different departments are being upskilled in order to deal with COVID-19 patients:

The general manager says that she is confident in the redeployment of staff to different wards should they need to and of critical staff using ventilators:

Grainne McCann also spoke about a new ED triage area that is going to be installed at the front of the hospital in the coming days in order to test patients that present with COVID-19 symptoms:
