This evening’s RTE Nationwide programme, which will be broadcast at 7pm after the news, will come from New York with a special Sligo connection.
The programme was shot by Sligo cameraman Patrick Leonard and will feature two Sligo bar owners, Ronan Carter and Paul McDaid, who had to close their pub ‘Jackdaw’ in the East Village of Manhattan, because of the coronavirus.
It also shows how the Irish community in New York is coping with the restrictions imposed.
Nationwide presenter Colm Flynn has been telling Ocean FM News about the programme.
