Sligo Councillor calls for closure of Caravan & Camping Parks

Calls have been made to the chief medical officer in the department of health, Dr Tony Holohan to close all caravan and camping parks.

The calls have been made by Sligo Independent Councillor Marie Casserly.

The Sligo Drumcliff Councillor is making the calls after various reports of large number of people travling to various parks in the region over the weekend.

This in turn led to difficulties in obeying the guidelines issued by the Department of Health on social distancing.

Cllr Casserly says that there is genuine concern over the spread of Covid-19 for members of the public converging on these sites.
