A Sligo Leitrim TD has asked the public to be mindful of the importance of social distancing, and to remember its vital importance in the prevention of the Covid-19 virus.
Deputy Feighan was speaking after raising the issue with the Minister for Health Simon Harris.
The Fine Gael TD has raised the matter in order to seek improved methods of alerting the public to the importance of social distancing at the recreation locations across the North West, some of which witnessed large attendances over the weekend.
Deputy Feighan has requested that new measures are implemented to remind the public of the need for social distancing even at the weekend in recreational areas.
