Fourth person dies in of Ireland of Covid-19



The latest figures published by the department of health have confirmed that  counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are all reporting to have less than 5 cases each of the Coronavirus.

 

It’s expected that new stricter measures may be brought in where people are not engaging in social distancing.

 

A male in the east of the country has become the fourth person to die from the coronavirus.

 

906 people now have Covid-19 here.

 

The National Public Health Emergency Team will meet tomorrow to consider if stricter measures are necessary.

 

The Department of Health confirmed 121 more people had tested positive for coronavirus yesterday.

 

906 people are now known to be infected.

 

New testing centres are being opened across the country as the HSE works through a backlog of 40,000 suspect cases.

 

 

HSE chief executive Paul Reid says everyone in the country has a job to do.
