Post Offices to provide essential services during Covid-19 pandemic



An Post customers across the north west have been assured that in the current Covid-19 pandemic Post Offices are remaining open as an essential service to local communities.

 

Drumkeerin Post Mistress Mary Bohan says “Social distancing will require Postmasters to limit the number of customers in the premises at any one time.

 

Opening hours can also be adjusted to suit local requirements and this is being kept under review.

 

If a situation arises where a Postmaster may have to self-isolate, arrangements will be made for payments to temporarily be available in a neighbouring Office.

 

Speaking earlier to OceanFM news, Mary Bohan say’s Post Offices can play a vital role in communities that are currently under siege due to the corona Virus.
