Local community groups urge pubs to close in north



A number of sporting and community groups have asked pubs in Northern Ireland to close in at an attempt to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

 

Amongst the groups that have issued the pleas are the ‘Love Leitrim movement, Manorhamilton Rangers FC, Glencar Manorhamilton GAA, 24-7 Family Carers and The Organic Centre.

All of the groups have expressed concern over the failure of the UK government to implement similar social distancing measures as other European states.
