People throughout NW coming together to help neighbours

As efforts increase to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, various people, groups and organisations throughout the north west are coming together to help and support those in their local communities.

One such group in the Ballisodare, Ballintogher, Collooney and Ballygawley areas of County Sligo is called the Cabhair ar Lamh, or Help in Hand.

Its aim is to help the elderly and vulnerable in the area.

Local Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy outlined how it works;

Meanwhile, a help group has also been set up in Tullaghan in north Leitrim, called the Tullaghan Area Covoid 19 Team, or TACT.

Emma McGowan has been telling Ocean FM News about that group.
