latest LIS funding will not meet demand



Over one million euro has been allocated to the Counties of Sligo Leitrim and Donegal under the local improvement schemes for roads.

The greatest allocation has gone to Donegal where 677,456 has been provided for improvement works.

256, 154 Euro has been allocated to Sligo while 250,000 has been allocated to the Local authority in Leitrim under the latest round of announced by Minister Michael Ring.

Sligo Drumcliffe Fine Gael Councillor Thomas Healy has welcomed the funding.

Cllr Walsh added that there will be a major demand for the funding in Sligo with a number of roads having fallen into disrepair.
