Status orange wind warning issued for Donegal



A Status Orange  Wind warning has been issued for Donegal

 

Winds will reach speeds of 60 to 75km/h with gusts of 100 to 120km/h, the winds will be strongest in coastal areas.

 

Due to a combination of waves, spring tides and surge, the possibility of coastal flooding is increased.

 

The OPW have advised the Pier Car Park, Donegal Town will remain closed for today and tomorrow.

 

There is a light dusting of snow on the Barnesmore gap Donegal with icy conditions possible on the route
