Sinn Fein to consider supporting national government

A Sligo Leitrim TD says Sinn Fein it will ‘seriously consider’ supporting calls for a crisis national government.

Negotiating teams from Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil will meet today to begin detailed talks on government formation.

But the Green Party, who’s also being lined up for the coalition, is urging all parties to suspend negotiations and set up a national government to respond to coronavirus.

Sinn Féin’s justice spokesman, Martin Kenny, says his party will give it some thought.
