IT Sligo drawing up plans for college closure over Covid-19 fears



Board of management and senior members at IT Sligo are meeting this afternoon to discuss the government’s decision to close all colleges, schools, childcare facilities and public cultural institutions over the Coronavirus.

A number of the members will be meeting with the department of education to gather more information on what can be out in place at the IT.

Communications manager Aidan Haughey confirmed to Ocean FM news, that IT Sligo will ensure to do their best by students and provide online lecturers and resources where possible.

UPDATE:

IT Sligo campus will close at 6pm this evening and there will be no more access to the library as of this evening until the 29th of March.
