Donegal students take part in All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad today



3 students from Donegal are to take part in in the National Final of the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad today.

The competition run by the ADAPT Centre challenges secondary school students to apply their logic and reasoning skills to solve complex puzzles in unfamiliar languages. The contest is said to help students with subjects such as maths, coding and languages.

Aoife Mongan from St. Columba’s Comprehensive in Glenties is among the 3 students set to take part in the final today which was due to take place in DCU but because of the Coronavirus, the students will now take the test in the confines of their own school and email it to the competitors.
