Tributes are being paid this lunchtime in Manorhamilton to the late Des Braiden, the well-known actor living in Leitrim who spent a lifetime involved in all aspects of theatre and drama.
He also acted in various screen productions, including Coronation Street.
He lived in Glenfarne, Glencar and in Manorhamilton, where his remains will repose today from 1pm to 2:30pm in Our Lady’s Hospital Chapel, with cremation at 4pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan
Leitrim actos Hubert McMorrow knew the late Des Braiden.
Hubert McMorrow also recalled a plan the late Des Braiden had for Glencar, when he came to live in the area.
