The four recently elected TD’s for the Sligo Leitrim constituency have been urged to meet with local council members to discuss possible solutions to the difficulties that many in Leitrim are facing when it comes to securing once off planning permission.
The calls have been made by the Manorhamilton Municipal District, Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott.
Speaking earlier to Ocean FM news Cllr McDermott says that issue has been a major problem over the past decade and is destroying rural life in north Leitrim in particular.
He’s urging all interested parties to try and work together to find a viable solution to the problem
