Cats in Donegal being shot, poisoned and killed

There have been reports of cats being killed, poisoned and shot in the face in Donegal.

That’s according to Donegal based charity, Animals In Need, who found a cat with a concaved face with metal shards embedded in her skull.

Found in an abandoned house, the AIN volunteers brought the cat now named ‘Tamara’ to the vet where X-ray results showed fragments of metal in her jaw.

They claim no injury would present this kind of damage apart from being shot in the face.

The cat was also suffering from cat flu and was extremely malnourished.

Gitte McMullin, Cattery Manager with Animals in Need, says its bad enough Tamara had to suffer the way she did but this also comes after reports of cats being shot in Ardara and poisoned in Ballintra:
