Any unnecessary delays in providing solutions for planning difficulties in Leitrim will only contribute to depopulation of rural communities in the County particularly those in the north of the County.
That’s according to Sligo Leitrim General election candidate, Senator Feighan.
With 90% of all Leitrim Land deemed not suitable for the construction of once off housing, the former Fine Gael TD, says that planning difficulties facing young people wanting to build homes, has not been discussed enough during the election campaign.
