Walsh: Local farmers not being properly represented by Government

A local Fine Gael general election candidate has launched an attack on his party colleague, the Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed, for failing to meet the needs of farmers in north west.

Cllr Thomas Walsh, who will be contesting a seat in the Sligo/ Leitrim Constituency,  says  there is a stronger voice needed in the 33rd Dail for farmers in the region.

Cllr Walsh made the comments after holding a number of meeting with farmers across the counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

He says farmers feel they are not getting adequate representation at the cabinet table.
