Farmers in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are being warned of up to 300 HSA farm inspections in the coming months.
The Health and Safety Authority have launched a campaign that is focusing on the safety of farmers handling livestock.
According to the Farmers Journal, 1/3 of the 18 people that died in farm accidents were killed by livestock related incidents with 4 out of the 18 relating to a cow or heifer causing the death of a farmer.
