Sixteen people are on hospital trolleys in the north west today.
That’s made up of eight each in Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals.
Five are in the emergency department in Sligo and one is in the ED in Letterkenny.
The remaining patients are in other areas of the hospital.
Overall, 530 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country this morning.
