There are still homes without power this morning in the north west this morning in the aftermath of storm Brendan.
The problem is not just confined to the local region with thousands of homes and businesses still without power this morning.
Storm Brendan’s strong winds and heavy rain caused power cuts, fallen trees and flooding when it hit yesterday.
Locally there are still over 100 homes without power in the Ballymote area of Sligo this morning.
The ESB says at the peak of the storm in the afternoon, about 50-thousand customers were without power.
