Tuesday’s North West Trolley figures shows sharp increase.



The number of patients on hospital trollies in the north west today has risen significantly to 33.

There are 24 people currently being treated on trollies at Sligo Uiversity Hospital while the number stands at 9 at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Three are three people being treated in the emergency department in Letterkenny while there are 20 in the emgerency department in Sligo.

Meanwhile there are 557 patients are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country today.

That’s according to the latest INMO figures,

The worst-hit hospitals are Cork University Hospital with 55 patients waiting on a bed, University Hospital Limerick has 52 and South Tipperary General has 31 as does the Mater in Dublin.
