More home-help hours needed for north west



Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal need to see their fair share of the 800,000 promised home help hours.

That according to Sligo/Leitrim, TD Eamon Scanlon who has highlighted the government failure to deliver home care support hours promised by the HSE service plan.

By October of this year, home help hours have increased by 55 and a half percent to 446 individuals waiting for this support. That’s a rise of 160 people needing home help hours.

With an increase in figures right across the North West as well as neighbouring counties, Deputy Scanlon is calling on the Government not to leave his constituents without this much needed service:
