Labour look to introduce nationwide smoky coal ban



The Labour Party have called for an immediate nationwide smoky coal ban.

The party launched a motion calling for the ban, which is already in place in large urban areas, to apply nationwide.

Labour leader Brendan Howlin said the government is too reluctant to act:

He says that Air pollution has increased in medium sized towns since the Carbon tax was introduced in 2014 due to consumers seeking cheaper alternatives.
