Sligo beat Ballina in All-Ireland League



Sligo finished their 2019 run of All-Ireland League Division 2B games with a timely 19-13 win against neighbours Ballina at Hamilton Park on Saturday.

The home side trailed 10-5 at half-time but Sligo regrouped well in the second-half, scoring two converted tries to win by six points at the finish.

The league now takes a break until January 11th when Paddy Pearson’s side will travel to Heffernan Park in Ballina for the return fixture.

In the meantime, the attention for Sligo now turns to next Sunday’s Connacht Senior Cup final against Corinthians at the Sportsground in Galway (2pm). The game will be broadcast live on Ocean FM Sport in association with Raftery & Co Accountants and EJ Menswear.
