Fire breaks out on Sligo to Dublin Train



Gardai were called to attend an Irish Rail service following an alleged fire on the train last night.

 

Ocean FM News understands that a blaze broke out on board the 19.00 Sligo to Dublin Connolly service.

 

Gardai attended the scene of the incident after the train stopped at Boyle.

 

It’s understood a person was removed after seating and flooring was damaged.

 

A fire extinguisher had to be used on the train to “prevent damage”.
