Quigley gets back to winning ways with stoppage

Jason Quigley got back to winning ways on Thursday night, defeating Mexico’s Abraham Cordero by third round stoppage in California.

It was the Donegal boxers first fight since suffering the first defeat of his career against Tureano Johnson in July. It was also his first fight under new trainer, former world champion, Andy Lee.

Quigley controlled the short contest throughout, spending the first couple of rounds figuring out his opponent, before hurting him with a right hook in the third and finishing the Mexican with a barrage of punches.
