Revenue has confirmed that a large quantity of suspected counterfeit alcohol was seized in a number of raids in Donegal over the weekend.
Ocean FM news understands that Revenue officials visited 15 pubs in the county on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile Fianna Fail Donegal Councillor Micheal Naughton says that revenue were wrong to have conducted the raids on a Sunday evening.
Speaking earlier to Ocean FM News, Cllr Naughton says the timing of the raids for a Sunday evening was poorly timed and would have negatively impacted on public houses during one of their busy periods of the week.
