More than 2,000 people are expected to visit south Sligo next August for a special race that involves running, cycling and kayaking.
The event will be part of the Quest Adventure Series and is set to take place on Saturday, August 22nd.
It will start and finish at Templehouse, Ballymote.
Participants will run, cycle and kayak their way around Templehouse Lake, Ladies Brae, the Ox Mountains, Tawnatrohaun and Lough Easkey.
Local Councillor Paul Taylor, who’s chairman of the South and West Sligo Tourism, says it’s not only a major sporting event but also an opportunity to showcase the beauty of the surrounding area.
