Education Minister and Donegal TD Joe McHugh says election candidates shouldn’t have to reveal their views on every subject during selection conventions.
Joe McHugh’s remarks come after Fine Gael has come under pressure to de-select Wexford by-election candidate Verona Murphy.
She has said asylum seekers may need to be de-programmed and that Isis may have manipulated children as young as four.
