Gardai in Manorhamilton have just reported in the last hour that they have arrested a man earlier this morning in connection with the robbery at petrol station in Manorhamilton yesterday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 6.30 p.m on Sunday.
It’s believed that a man entered the premises of Mullins filling station and asked the staff to empty the contents of the till.
He continued to threaten staff that he would use a concealed weapon that he was carrying at the time.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The man is currently being detained at Ballymote Garda Station.
Gardai would like to thank the staff members at the premises and the local community for their help in the investigation.
