St Naul’s no match for Galbally

St Naul’s of Donegal bowed out of the Ulster intermediate football championship at the semi-final stage on Sunday when they were soundly beaten by an impressive Galbally Pearses from Tyrone at Celtic Park, on a final scoreline of 1-22 to 0-11.

Barry Meehan’s side struggled to get a grip on the game as their Tyrone opponents impressed with their range of kick-passing and finishing.

Galbally led by 1-9 to 0-5 at the interval, and while Naul’s began the second-half with two early points, Galbally continued to look threatening.

There was disappointment too for Derrygonnelly Harps in Sunday’s senior semi-final in Armagh as they lost to Kilcoo of Down (managed by former Sligo, Leitrim & Donegal manager Mickey Moran) by 1-8 to 0-9.
