A man has drowned on Arranmore island this morning,
The man in his 20’s vehicle slipped into the water at Poolawaddy Pier at around 5.10am this morning.
Gardaí attended the incident where the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man in his 30’s who was also in the car at the time escaped from the submerged car suffering no injuries.
Gardaí have launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to make come forward.
