O’Connell Street in Sligo reopened in run-up to Christmas period



Work on the enhancement of the main street in Sligo town has been suspended for the run-up to the Christmas period.

The work crew will return to O Connell Street on January 6th.

The street is now reopen for traffic and all pedestrian restrictions have been removed.

Paul O Rourke is Sligo County Council’s senior executive engineer in charge of the project.

He has been telling Ocean FM News about the work that’s been done — and what the public can expect.
