Farmers facing difficulties during poor weather conditions



The IFA National Livestock Committee Chairman and candidate for President of the IFA, Angus Woods claims farmers are facing difficulty following recent poor weather conditions across the north west.

Mr Woods has suggested that on inspecting a number of tillage farms with plantations such as potato and grain have been completely water logged due to heavy rainfall and strong winds.

This is creating havoc for farmers who are due to plant winter crops in the near future but cant do so if the currents plants aren’t removed and the land is too water logged for the machinery to do so.

The IFA Chairman claims this is only another thing for tillage farmers to worry about coming up to Christmas:
