The Collooney play ground in Sligo is closed following serious damage to the facility over the weekend.
It’s believed the vandalism took place on Saturday night.
Ocean FM News understand that broken glass was placed in the playground, which was forced to close as a result.
Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
Sligo/Drumcliff Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy has been telling Ocean FM news that local residents are shocked.
