Cases of travelling community in the north west getting paid half minimum wage in semi-state organisations

There have been cases of members of the travelling community in the North West being paid half the minimum wage in semi-state organisations.

That’s according to Regional Forsa union officer, Richie Carrothers.

Mr. Carrothers was speaking at Sligo Town Hall yesterday afternoon, at a Traveller Equality Network event organised by Forsa.

He says such discrimination and exploitation has to be ended.
