60 patients in north west on hospital trolleys today



Trolley numbers in the north west are high again today, with Letterkenny University Hospital the 5th worst-affected hospital in the country.

This follows on from three days of high trolley figures across the country.

Letterkenny has 40 patients on trolleys, which is one fewer than yesterdays figure; 10 people are waiting for a bed in ED and 30 on other wards in the hospital.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has reported that Sligo University Hospital has 20 patients without a bed today, with 12 in the emergency department and 8 on trolleys throughout the hospital.

574 people are waiting for a bed in hospitals across the country today, with Limerick University Hospital the highest in the country, with 68 patients waiting for a bed.
