Strandhill Campus to become international video game development hub



The technology park in Strandhill is being re branded as Strand Campus.

The campus aims to become an international video game development hub and has already secured €1.9m through the enterprise Ireland Regional Development Fund.

The gaming industry is worth over $130b which is bigger than moth the movie and music industries combined.

Co. Sligo has seen a large increase in ‘digital communities’ and this is the latest in making sure the county is at the forefront of technological advances.

The purpose built gaming hub is hoped to break ground in 2020.
