Leitrim’s Lory Meagher Cup-winning manager Martin Cunniffe has resigned.
Cunniffe, who has held the role since 2011, informed the county board of his decision on Monday morning.
Ocean FM understands that some of the Leitrim players were looking for a change of management heading into the 2020 season and that this issue was raised at a county board review meeting recently.
The decision comes at the end of arguably Leitrim’s finest year in hurling, having lifted the Lory Meagher Cup at Croke Park in June.
