A Leitrim councillor is highlighting the everyday challenges people with disabilities face in the county.
At a recent meeting of Manorhamilton Municipal District meeting, Independent Councillor Felim Gurn, asked the council to look at issues in Manorhamilton and Dromahair.
Some of the concerns are over footpath access as well as obstacles on paths, which are easily navigated if walking but not so much in a wheelchair.
Councillor Gurn tells OceanFM News that going forward, the council needs to take these factors, and more, into account and also highlights some of the areas that need addressing.
