Justice Minister, Charlie Flanagan, is to officially open the new Ballygawley Football Pitch and Community Garden this weekend.
The pitch is funded under the Sports Capital Programme and the garden received it’s €17,000 funding from the Town and Village Renewal scheme.
The overall project is in stage 4 of 7 with the opening ceremony taking place on Sunday; events taking place from 11am to 4pm on the day.
Local Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh, tells OceanFM News that the community garden will be named in memory of local man, Colm McTiernan.
