Minister for Education in Donegal today to launch ‘Back to School for STEM’ programme

The Minister for Education, Joe McHugh, will be in Co. Donegal this morning to launch AbbVie’s ‘Back to School for STEM’ programme.

The nationwide scheme aims to encourage students to study STEM subjects; namely Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

It’s hoped the programme will get young people interested in science as a whole and inspire a new generation of scientists and engineers.

The launch is taking place this morning at 9.45am in St Naul’s National School, Inver.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Robert Love, Communications Director with AbbVie says there are many opportunities to work and study abroad as well as here in Ireland.
