A past pupil of Summerhill College in Sligo who has been hugely successful in the hospitality sector in England is now hoping to bring his experience to the undertaking business.
Oliver Peyton, from Swinford, is best known as a judge on the BBC’s Great British Menu television show.
During the 1980s and 1990s he ran various clubs and celebrity restaurants in England, as well as several restaurant chains and a large hospitality group.
He has now partnered with a third-generation funeral director to create a new modern funeral business.
It will offer everything from funeral services to catering to colourful bespoke caskets and urns, including environmentally friendly biodegradable options.
