The launch of one of the biggest arts festivals in south Donegal will take place this Saturday evening.
It’s the Allingham Festival, details of which will be announced in The Thatch pub in Ballyshannon.
Among the highlights of this year’s event, which runs from November 6th to 10th, is a tribute to playwright Frank McGuinness, a workshop on the garden paintings of Helen Allingham, comedian Kevin McAleer and the Allingham Lecture entitled ‘People and Power’ to be delivered by Derry journalist and activist Eamonn McCann.
